About GJX Daily
My wife and I got started blogging years ago when we began to record the challenges we had in raising a son, Ryan, with bipolar disorder. We let that go as our son got older.
I started my own blog a year or so after that, and kept it up until recently. 2 years ago I was offered a paid blogging position by a major health website and thereafter spent most of my efforts writing for them. About 4 months ago I quit that gig and also gave up my personal blog. It was a change of attitude that I couldn’t explain, but knowing my personality I didn’t fight it.
Then 2 months later, on August 14, 2008 our son Ryan died from an accident in our home.
Life will never be the same.
I started to blog again as an outlet, a critical, therapeutic, life-saving outlet. Here I’ll record my frame of mind, which will take the form of self-indulgent ramblings and expressions, and won’t always be pretty. I’m not trying to educate the world, or help the lost – I’ve been there, and done that. This time, it’s for me. I’ll also throw out thoughts, humor, ideas, special interests, news, and things that interest me. The entire thing is self-indulgent, but paper journaling is useless for me. I see no point in writing if nobody can read it.
Later.
